In the traditional Japanese culture, the color Blue signifies purity and cleanliness. It is representative of calmness and stability. "It is coupled with "Samurai," which is translated as "those who serve." Up until the Meiji Restoration of 1868, the samurai lead to the abolition of the feudal system. These warriors dominated the Japanese government as powerful, prideful and upper echelons of the warrior class.
